Identifying Rosacea

Through several diagnosis and observation, it is noted that Rosacea often develops after the age of 30 with redness and flare-ups happening on the cheeks, nose and chin while in some cases, it has been reported that Rosacea also occurs on the neck, chest, scalp as well as the ears. Left untreated, the symptoms become more persistent and blood vessels begin to show which leads to the developing of bumps and pimples due to excess tissue. In most patients, Rosacea also causes a patient’s eyes to become affected, feeling irritated and appearing watery or bloodshot.

Individuals who are fair skinned and tend to blush easily are more at risk. Rosacea also affects more women than men but more severe cases have been noticed in men then in women, partly due to the fact that men only seek medical help in more severe stages. There is no absolute cure for Rosacea but the right medical therapy has shown tremendous success in reversing the signs and symptoms that is why early treatment is better.
